Projects
° Adapt the infrastructure of the versatile Port of Nice to optimise operating conditions and improve security.
° Take advantage of the global expansion in the cruise sector by positioning the port amongst major Western Mediterranean cruise ports (Barcelona, Palma, Genoa, Rome).
° Develop the Corsica business sector.
° Favorise development of tourism and commercial activities.
° Increase mooring capacity for boating and yachting.
° Ducs d’Albe: installation of a platform to improve the quality of passenger reception on the quay. Planned for 2004.
° Development of road access to the port: Infernet entrance/exit, entrance/exit barrier on the port (Robilante deux Emmanuel). Date of works: 2003 / 2004.
° Installation of a wastewater trap: pumping station for recovery of ship bilge water. Planned for 2004
° Creation of a Boating fuel supply point (môle Lunel): project for the installation of a fuel quay for boats/yachts. Date of works: 2004.
° Renovation of sanitary facilities at Quai des Deux Emmanuel. Planned for 2004.
° Creation of a motorcycle shelter: special area protected from the sun for cycles awaiting departure for Corsica. Planned for 2004.
° Installation of a giant water sprayer: to cool down passengers awaiting embarkation for Corsica. Planned for 2005.
° Purchase of a luggage hopper within the project for implementing X-ray luggage checks for the cruise sector. Purchased in March 2003.
° Installation of a video surveillance system Date of works: 2004.
° Restoration of crane 14 (protected heritage) Date of works: 1st quarter 2004.
