Recruitment of seasonal workers at the ports for the 2018 season

Every year, the ports hire seasonal workers in response to a sharp rise in tourist numbers

The summer period means increased numbers at the ports of Cannes, Golfe Juan, Antibes – Gallice, Antibes – Vauban and Nice, and the 5 ports recruit seasonal workers to cope with this increase in business.

These young people work at the leisure boat service, with responsibility for welcoming, registering and assisting pleasure boat users at the port offices to ensure a personalized commercial welcome for an international clientele, and on the water, in particular assisting with moorings and departures.

The Port of Nice also uses seasonal workers for its ferry business. They are responsible for guiding departing passengers and passengers arriving from Corsica and Sardinia.

This is an enriching professional experience that allows workers to discover an exciting business sector, develop their customer relations skills, and be a part of a dynamic working team.

Candidates, the majority of whom will be students (Bac to Bac +5), will be selected through several interviews that will enable their motivation, aptitude for the proposed position and level of English to be assessed.

Seasonal workers hired at one of the five ports will be trained and supervised by port managers. They will have several days of induction and training at the beginning of the season. This training is aimed at making them aware of security and the quality of service, because, as we need to remember, seasonal workers represent the first point of contact with our customers, and are also guarantors of the image of the ports.

The contract period runs from one to seven months, between 1 April and 30 October 2018.
